Santa suit up, sip up, and jingle all the way through downtown Ashland! Join us on December 20th for the most festive (and slightly mischievous) night of the season as hundreds of Santas, elves, and holiday misfits take over downtown.
Santa Pub Crawl kicks off at The Columbia Hotel at 4 PM, where you’ll check in, grab your FREE holiday cocktail and mug, and meet your fellow merry-makers with some Christmas Karaoke.
Then Santa and his merry Elves make their way through downtown Ashland to a curated lineup of local bars and lounges featuring holiday cocktails, beer specials, and merry mischief.
Costumes are highly encouraged, outrageous holiday spirit is required, and unforgettable memories are guaranteed. Ho-ho-hope to see you there!

This October First Friday, The Columbia is proud to host Art Out Loud: Beyond the Rainbow, a pride-themed celebration of art, identity, and community. This special evening brings together local queer and allied artists to share their work, highlighting the creativity, resilience, and vibrancy of Ashland’s LGBTQ+ community.
Throughout the event, guests can explore artist booths showcasing handmade jewelry and one-of-a-kind vintage clothing curations alongside our featured artists of the month. Each artist brings their own perspective and voice, creating a rich tapestry of color, story, and expression that reflects the many ways queerness shows up in our community. It’s a chance not only to enjoy incredible art, but also to connect directly with the makers who bring it to life.

The Free Label is a six-member band from Toronto, Canada, blending 70s disco, 90s R&B, and high-energy funk into an electrifying, dance-driven experience. Their 2019 single "All Night" led to international tours across Europe, North America, and Australia, gaining a loyal following.
They’ve played major Canadian festivals, including Mariposa Folk Festival and the Calgary Stampede, and opened for T-Pain, Aqua, and Lupe Fiasco. The band has also toured the U.S., opening for various artists and performing at universities across the country.
In 2024, Songs for Sienna, their highly anticipated album, earned them a spot on the Amazon Music Billboard in Dundas Square, Toronto. Tracks like "Crimes of Passion" have gained global attention.
With over 15 million views of their live performances in the last year, The Free Label’s energetic shows and natural chemistry continue to captivate audiences worldwide.

We’re flipping the script on traditional art shows. For September’s First Friday Art Show, The Columbia Hotel invites you to experience Please Touch the Art — a playful, interactive celebration of local creativity where the usual “Do Not Touch” signs are nowhere to be found.
This is an art show for everyone!
Expect a vibrant mix of works by local artists throughout the hotel — from experimental sculpture to vibrant painting to tactile textile pieces — all curated with one theme in mind: engagement. You're encouraged to reach out, feel the texture, trace the lines, and connect with the art in a whole new way.
But the creativity doesn’t stop on the walls.
We’ll have crafting and art tables set up throughout the lobby and common areas, so you can make your own masterpiece. Whether you're a seasoned artist or just feeling inspired, we’ve got the supplies and the space. Everyone’s an artist tonight.
As always, The Columbia keeps the vibes high and the beats funky. Our live DJ will be spinning eclectic tunes from hip hop to funky disco house, setting the perfect tone for an evening of art, community, and hands-on fun.
